These General Terms and Conditions govern the sale of products on www.matisadeco.ie. Products purchased on this website are sold directly by Matisa Deco, based in Dublin, Ireland. For any inquiries, please contact our team at info@matisadeco.ie.

1. Business Policy

  • Consumer Focus: Matisa Deco offers products exclusively to "consumers" (individuals acting outside of their trade or business). We reserve the right to decline orders that appear to be for commercial resale or fraudulent purposes.
  • Age Requirement: By placing an order, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age.
  • Territorial Scope: Our services are optimized for the European market. We reserve the right to restrict or cancel orders to specific territories (e.g., Canary Islands, Azores, or outside Europe) as detailed in our Shipping Policy.

2. Executing a Sale Contract

  • Order Proposal: Submitting an order form constitutes a formal offer to purchase.
  • Receipt vs. Acceptance: An automated email acknowledgment does not constitute formal acceptance of your order.
  • Contract Conclusion: The sale contract is officially concluded only when Matisa Deco sends a Shipping Confirmation email. This allows us to verify stock availability and logistical feasibility before finalizing the sale.
  • Right to Refuse: We may reject orders due to insufficient guarantees of solvency, incomplete data, or product unavailability. In such cases, a full refund will be issued immediately.

3. Product Guarantees & Pricing

  • Artisanal Quality: We sell high-quality organic decor. Due to the natural materials (stone, clay, wood), slight variations in texture, color, and finish are inherent characteristics of the product and not considered defects.
  • Pricing & VAT: Prices are shown in EUR (€) or GBP (£). As a UK VAT Registered business, for UK orders under £135, the 20% VAT is included at checkout. For orders over £135 or outside the EU/UK, local duties may apply as per our Shipping Policy.
  • Typographical Errors: In the event of a clear pricing error, Matisa Deco reserves the right to cancel the order and offer the product at the correct price.

4. Payments & Security

  • Secure Processing: Payments are handled via Shopify Payments. Sensitive data (card numbers) is encrypted and never stored by Matisa Deco.
  • Charges: Your account will be charged once the order is finalized and prepared for shipment.

5. Shipping, Returns & Refunds

  • Policy Integration: Our [Shipping Policy] and [Return & Refund Policy] are legally binding parts of these Terms. By placing an order, you accept these policies in full, including the requirement for original reinforced packaging for returns.
  • Credit Notes: For approved returns (specifically for UK VAT-registered transactions), Matisa Deco will issue a formal Credit Note to neutralize the original invoice.

6. Purchase Options & Order Cancellations

  • Order Cancellations: Standard orders can be cancelled for a full refund within 2 hours of purchase, provided the shipping process has not been initiated. Please contact info@matisadeco.ie immediately to request a cancellation.
  • Deferred Payments: If you use third-party payment providers (e.g., Klarna, Clearpay), your cancellation or refund will be processed in accordance with Matisa Deco's standard policy. Any interest or administrative fees charged by the provider remain subject to your agreement with them.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: All content on www.matisadeco.ie (images, text, logos, designs) is the exclusive property of Matisa Deco.
  • Restrictions: Any reproduction, modification, or commercial use of our intellectual property without express written consent is strictly prohibited.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • Primary Law: These Terms are governed by the Laws of the Republic of Ireland.
  • Cross-Border Compliance: We also adhere to the relevant consumer protection laws of the United Kingdom for our UK-based customers.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes shall be submitted to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
